First of all, you should have a look at the pictures site. There you will find a lot of visual results concerning the master project.
The main aim of this thesis was the programming of Cm DisplayCell, a module for Mercury® amira®, which sonsists of a C++-program and TCL-Script. This combination enables the user of the DisplayCell environment, to change the appearance of different cell components, to get some informations according the actual chosen component or to start some animations.
For this work, the priority has been to create a learning environment dealing with the hepatocyte membrane of a human liver cell. Therefore some short animations concerning different segments of the membrane has been created, which can be shown seperately or iteratively.
The project itself needs amira® 3.1 including the packages amiraDev® and amiraMol® and the membrane has been created with a slightly updated version of the MembraneEditor of the Cm2-project.
